Pre pandemic, before micro weddings really took off, Megan and Tom planned a small, yet thoughtful celebration with family and friends at downtown LA’s Redbird restaurant. With some amazing portraits at MOCA in downtown Los Angeles, and a gorgeous ceremony in Redbird’s outdoor garden, the day was chic, sophisticated, and full of beautiful details.

Megan wore a chic A line dress by Givenchy and her “something blue” Monolo Blahnik pumps. Tom looked casually sophisticated in his suit by J Crew.

Downtown LA MOCA Wedding

Megan and Tom first met while both working at MOCA in downtown LA. It is a special place for both of them so they wanted to return on their wedding day for some amazing portraits.

Intimate Los Angeles Garden Wedding Ceremony

The bridal bouquet was perfectly curated by Twig and Twine with an assortment of peachy blooms, anemones, and lots of fresh greens.

After the ceremony, guests moved further into the (literal) vegetable garden for cocktails and pizza fresh from the oven. We flipped the ceremony space into a beautiful dinner party that felt extra cozy with candlelit tables and string lights overhead.

The couple says how they wanted every detail to be intentional. The fresh cocktails and meals made with ingredients straight from the garden, and all of their close family and friends made it all feel special, like a dinner party at home.

Megan shares about choosing the venue:

“We held it in the garden at Redbird because we love living in Los Angeles, and going downtown felt really true to who we are. But we also wanted to create an oasis, a secret garden, where you could escape it all without really leaving.”
