4 Unique Los Angeles Wedding Venues

It can be hard to know where to start when searching for a wedding venue. In the greater LA area alone there is beachside, museums, hotels, ranches, vineyards, and plenty of fancy estates. You may be in the early stages of figuring out which wedding venue is right for you. I’ve rounded up 4 unique Los Angeles wedding venues to give you a head start when choosing the perfect venue for your Los Angeles wedding.

Carondelet House

Looking at photos from Carondelet House, you might think you are in old world Italy and not Los Angeles. This gorgeous brick building is full of moody romance and an amazing event team. When you enter the building you are surrounded by floor to ceiling exposed brick and wood floors that have just the right amount of creakiness to still feel charming. The front of the venue makes an excellent cocktail and dancing space. Carondelet House can accommodate up to 150 guests for a seated dinner.

As you move through the courtyard to the back of the building you will enter the 2nd indoor space. The ceremony space will flip to your dinner reception during cocktail hour. Not only are the furniture and table items included in the venue, but they are absolutely gorgeous and not your standard rental items. I love this venue for a little bit smaller weddings. I’ve had the experience of both working at this venue for a client and attending a Carondelet House wedding as a guest. If you’re thinking of your wedding as an intimate gathering of your friends and family over a delicious meal, this is definitely a venue to consider.

Millwick

I like to describe Millwick as a plant lady’s dream wedding venue. Millwick is covered in lush greenery resembling more of a botanical garden, then a DTLA warehouse. This indoor-outdoor Los Angeles wedding venue is a favorite that can host up to 175 guests. The outdoor courtyard is perfectly set for a wedding ceremony with a full wall backdrop of greenery. Loft doors open to the open air indoor space with you guessed it- more greenery! Large overhead beams are primed and ready for suspended floral arrangements. The venue also provides a projector to play whatever you like on the large interior wall. Millwick will also provide tables and chairs, a sound system, and some lounge furniture.

The Fig House

When talking about unique Los Angeles wedding venues, The Fig House definitely needs to be on the list. There really is no other place that has the color and vibrance of The Fig House. This indoor/outdoor wedding venue can hold up to 200 guests for a sit down dinner.

The expansive courtyard is perfect for late afternoon ceremonies and can be flipped to your dinner reception as well. Inside the building you’ll find colorful paintings from a rotation of incredible artists. The colorful lounge furniture, and amazing light in the room makes for some incredible portraits. Fig House weddings are provided tables and chairs as well as the existing lounge furniture for use.

The Garden at Redbird

The garden at Redbird is one of my favorite hidden gems of wedding venues in DTLA. If you’ve ever dined at Redbird, you are familiar with the incredible service and fantastic menu of food and drinks. This urban garden is perfectly set for intimate gatherings. The smaller outdoor space can accommodate up to 108 guests for a seated dinner.

The garden space is used for the ceremony and dinner reception. Guests will casually wander into the literal vegetable garden to the bar with pizza kitchen for fresh cocktails and artisan pizzas. After the space is flipped guests are welcomed back into the now dinner space. Redbird is perfect for intimate weddings that you want to feel more like a dinner party than a wedding. Tables, chairs, and all tabletop items are included in the venue fee.
